About the Islamic Center of Russellville

The Islamic Center of Russellville (ICR) was established in the summer of 2014 to serve the growing Muslim community in Russellville, Arkansas — including students at Arkansas Tech University and Muslim-American families in the River Valley area. ICR is the first Islamic Center in Russellville.

Our congregation is diverse, bringing together students, engineers, doctors, businessmen, and professors from the United States and many countries around the world. Friday congregational prayers regularly welcome 70–80 worshipers.

ICR has an open-door policy — all are welcome, regardless of background or faith.

Our Mission:

ICR’s mission is to encourage people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds — Muslims and non-Muslims alike — to learn about Islam, to bridge gaps between communities, and to provide education and services that advance justice, promote compassion, and celebrate freedom.

Our Values:

We commit to being honest, clean, benevolent, honorable, and respectful neighbors. We support justice, family values, truthfulness, mercy for the young, care for the elderly, and charity for the poor.

ICR works in harmony with other faith groups and civic organizations to strengthen bonds between Muslims and non-Muslims, building a united community with tolerance and mutual respect throughout Russellville and the surrounding areas.
